Saturday, 5 September 2026 we will celebrate World Unity Day. The heart of that celebration is a prayer: a moment when we all come together at the same time, no matter where we are, and say the Serenity Prayer as one. Of course our thoughts are always with the addict who still suffers, and this year our thoughts are also with our members who are suffering around the world, from circumstances not in their control. On Unity Day we remember that we are one, that what unites us is more important than what divides us, and that wherever we are, we are not alone.

As always, we post in Pacific Time; adjust accordingly to where you will be. From 11:00 to 12:30 there will be a PR presentation. At 12:30 we will say the Serenity Prayer; there will be videos from around the world, and at 1:00 members will share their experience, strength and hope. We will also be sharing updates on the happenings of World Services throughout both sessions. You are welcome to join us from home; many groups and areas choose to build events around World Unity Day, and if you’re joining us as a group we’d love to hear about it! Flyers for World Unity Day can be found at na.org/annualevents.

We will provide interpretation into Portuguese and Spanish. If you need assistance with other interpretation, let us know at [email protected].

We are always grateful to celebrate World Unity Day together. Whether the heart of the event is in person or online, the experience of connection and togetherness is always moving. Please join us. We look forward to seeing you.

In loving service,

World Board
